We are looking for an experienced and driven AVP/VP to migrate, build, and lead the Fraud Operations function for a major US-based telecom client within our BPO division. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to oversee the end-to-end transition of fraud processes from the client to our managed services vertical, build a world-class fraud operations team from the ground up, and ensure the highest levels of service delivery and fraud prevention.

You will be responsible for recruiting and managing a team of 30+ fraud professionals, establishing processes, frameworks, and systems to detect, mitigate, and prevent fraud. You will also act as the primary point of contact for the client and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Migration & Transition: Lead the migration of fraud operations from the client, en-suring minimal disruption and a smooth integration of all fraud-related processes.
  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing fraud op-erations team of 30+ professionals across various sub-processes.
  • Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of the fraud operations function and ensure that all systems and protocols align with both client and industry standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact with the client, building and nurturing strong relationships to ensure alignment with the client’s business goals, risk management strategies, and operational expectations.
  • Performance & SLA Management: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). Monitor performance, ensuring that the team consistently meets or exceeds targets and delivers high-quality outcomes.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process im-provements and automation to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts. Leverage data analytics, technology, and industry best practices to drive operational excellence.
Experience:

Minimum 12 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years of experience in fraud opera-tions for a US-based company (preferably in telecom or financial services).

  • Team Building & Leadership: proven track record of building and leading large teams from scratch, with the ability to recruit, mentor, and develop a team of 30+ professionals.
  • BPO & Process Migration Expertise: significant experience in managing process migration and transitions in a BPO setting, with a deep understanding of fraud operations and client management for offshore services.
  • Fraud Domain Expertise: extensive knowledge of fraud detection, prevention, and mitiga-tion strategies within telecom or financial services, with a focus on delivering results in a high-volume environment.

What will your day look like?

To help us level up, you will ideally have:
  • Quantitative background in engineering, statistics, math, economics, business, or related disciplines.
  • 4+ years’ experience in analysing data and using database query language (e.g. SQL) analysis and programming and developer tools such as Python, R , databricks in a finance or analytics field.
  • 1+ years of experience in leading high performing team of analysts.
  • Experience in working with non-traditional data such as social media will be a big plus.
  • Prior model building experience is a plus but not critical.
  • Possesses analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
